BECOME A MEMBER, A SPONSOR, OR BOTH

The Propeller Club of Manila extends a warm invitation to join our Club. As a non-profit organization, we are dedicated to connecting industry professionals and contributing to the maritime landscape.

OUR IMPACT

Since the launch of THE PROPELLER CLUB OF MANILA SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM, over 20 years ago, we have empowered more than 500 students with underprivileged backgrounds to pursue their dreams in the maritime industry. Our alumni have gone on to make noticeable contributions within the companies they have been employed by.

WHY SPONSOR THE PROPELLER CLUB OF MANILA SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM?

1. Corporate Social Responsibility: Demonstrate your commitment to social responsibility by actively participating in the education and empowerment of deserving individuals.

2. Mentorship Opportunities: Provide mentorship opportunities for scholars, assisting not only financially but also offering guidance and support for their personal and professional development.

3. Legacy: Leave a lasting and positive legacy by contributing to the education of young men and women from families below the poverty line.

4. Benefit for Employers: By sponsoring and employing young men and women who otherwise would have no chance to enter a profession, companies will reap the benefit of adding to their pool of seafarers.

OUR SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

In line with our commitment to social responsibility, we provide scholarships for very underprivileged young adults from all over the Philippines, ensuring that opportunities for employment in the maritime industry are accessible to a wider group in our society.

We run a 12-month Fitter Machinist Scholarship Program with each batch consisting of 25 selected young men and women who are enrolled at Don Bosco Technical Institute, Makati. Upon completion, the scholars undergo four months of on-the-job training at a local shipyard.

Thanks to the sponsorship received, we have been able to operate the scholarship program for the last 20 years with over 500 graduates now employed on ocean-going ships.

Our challenge is to maintain the level of sponsorship required to keep the program going.

We are therefore always on the lookout for companies or individuals who might be willing to provide sponsorship. Partial funding is acceptable – no amount is too small.
